Web Excursions are select bookmarks from my travels around the interwebs, because I'm always thinking about you while discovering other people's cool stuff. You mean that much to me. You can see all of my (public) bookmarks on my LinkDing, and visit the bookmarks archive for curated lists across the last few years.

Web excursions brought to you in partnership with Fabric, the best way to organize your notes, tasks, and projects in one place.

Tansei
Tansei is a simple shelf at the edge of your screen for Mac and Windows. Drag anything on, switch apps, pick up where you left off. Private, offline-ready. $7 one-time purchase.

In addition to being an excellent clipboard manager, it can take screenshots, pick up colors (that you can copy out in any format), edit and search Markdown notes, and more. A real competitor for Yoink (which is also a great app) and other clipboard managers.

I gave some feature requests to the developer and they’ve already implemented them. Tansei is quickly becoming part of my everyday workflow.

juri/tui-fuzzy-finder
A fuzzy finder text UI library in Swift, similar to fzf, but for your Swift CLIs. I haven’t tested this yet, but bookmarking it for a future project.
‎Groove Number App
A small utility that tells you how “swung” a track is, from 50 percent (dead straight) to about 66 percent (full triplet), along with BPM, key, a swing grid and spectrogram, and MIDI export of the groove, all analyzed on the device.

A little $1.99 (one-time) utility that — if you need this kind of thing — is a great deal.

PingRoom
This looks really nice, and I plan to test it out with some teammates this week. You create “rooms” with invited members and then can ask questions or communicate anything from deploy progress to “dinner’s ready,” with some geofencing, notifications, and integration with your agents. macOS and iOS, free with in-app purchases.
