CleanMyMac X

MacPaw has released a new version of their excellent macOS cleanup and optimization tool: CleanMyMac X. I wrote it up for Lifehacker so I won’t go into full detail here, but there are some cool new features I’d like to highlight:

  • Updated Safety Database ensures no important files get trashed
  • Malware detection and removal
  • Clean, Optimize, and Protect are now all part of the Smart Scan, one click to rule them all
  • Assistant and Booster modules offer tips and tools for speeding up and underperforming Mac

It also sports a beautiful UI and is definitely worth a look. Available now via Setapp, or a one-time purchase of $89 (with a half-price upgrade option). There’s also a new subscription option ($39/yearly) which gives you full access to major updates. And this week only, all of these prices are 30% off!

There’s a free trial available, so no reason not to go try it out.
