Marked's new DOCX export is nearly perfect, and I've 100% rewritten the Scrivener rendering. It's blazing fast — renders the Tutorial.scriv file in under 1 second — with full support for annotations, footnotes, section titles, embedded and linked images, and mixing Markdown with RTF in your document. And it doesn't do any stupid shelling out to Ruby scripts.
Currently improving the RTFD export and "Copy as RTF". It's kinda nice not having a jobby job for a bit here.
This is definitely shaping up to be a v3 release. I wish the App Store had ever come around to offering upgrade pricing without the whole "complete your bundle" workaround nonsense, but I really think v3 is going to be a subscription anyway. You'd be paying for continuous development, and never have to worry about major version upgrades. I've really come around on subs. They're a good business model for developers who don't focus on major releases, and prefer to just continually iterate and improve, as I've done with Marked 2 for the last 10 years.
