GoLly (“the App”) is developed and published by Brett Terpstra (“I”, “me”).

Summary

GoLly does not collect, sell, or share personal information. The App runs on your devices and keeps preferences locally.

Information the App stores

GoLly may store on your device:

• Display preferences (colors, animation speed, liquid cells setting)
• Local simulation state needed to run Conway’s Game of Life

This data stays on your iPhone and, when you use the Apple Watch companion, on your paired Apple Watch. It is not uploaded to my servers.

How settings sync to Apple Watch

If you install the Watch app, GoLly may sync those same display preferences from your iPhone to your Apple Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. That transfer happens between your own devices through Apple’s system. I do not receive or store that data.

What GoLly does not do

GoLly does not:

• Require an account or login
• Collect name, email, location, contacts, photos, or other personal data
• Use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
• Access the network for app functionality beyond Apple system services (such as WatchConnectivity)
• Sell or share user data with third parties

Children’s privacy

GoLly is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when I do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
